Subject: [Corpus Christi 10062 Mail] Go Knights on Bikes!!!!

Brothers,

Please take the time to read this wonderful story about the work two (Brian and Chris) of your brother Knights have done. In just the second year of holding the Shake Rattle & Roll ride (inspired by Debbie Smith) to benefit Parkinson's they presented a $31,000 check to Banner Neuro Wellness Center and it is featured in the Catholic Sun.  It's online now for your reading at http://www.catholicsun.org/2015/12/17/knights-on-bikes-raise-31k-for-parkinsons-patients/

WMO Driving Event - Volunteers drivers needed Sunday through Friday

Subject: WMO Driving Event - Volunteers drivers needed SUnday through Friday

Brothers,
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the timetable for the annual driving event has been dramatically moved up, and we will start moving vehicles on Sunday 1/17 with a need for 12 drivers (I have 5 so far) to start at 11:00 from the far north end of the church parking lot. We will be moving 35 vehicles on Sunday.

Monday  through Friday we need up to 30 volunteers each day to form up at Corpus Christi at 8:00 AM. We will have the vans on station so after an initial briefing we will head out by 8:30 - 8:45. Coffee and donuts will be available.  The plans are quite different this year and will require more drivers / more days both before an after the event.

Please advise me if you can drive any / all of the days and which days you are available.  If you gave us a copy of your drivers license last year, I still have it. If you did not drive last year, please bring a copy of your drivers license for the record.  Non-Knights are WELCOME but all must be 21 years or older.

FYI, I confirmed that the Thunderbirds and Ford have the necessary liability insurance for us and for golfers/staff who drive the vehicles throughout the event.

Please HELP if you can - it is a great, fun event and the largest $ contributor each year for our councils operations and charities including the seminarians.

Subject: [Corpus Christi 10062 Mail] Driver's needed for University of Alabama Team/Vip's

Brothers,

I would like to thank the 7 brothers that have complete the signup process so far and are working at least one shift this weekend.

We need more volunteers to sign up. Need not be a Knight to sign up… tell your friends.

The National College Championship committee is looking for 20+ volunteers per shift and if we fill the shifts we could make up to $10,000 for Knights charities just by being available at the Westin Kierland resort for a variety of shifts this Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Did I mention Snacks, Beverages, Lunch, and Dinner will be provided.

Please read the information from Stephanie Jarvis on the details of the event.

Here are the Instructions for signing up:
After launching the above shortcut - click on Visit our online volunteer center a new window will open,
click on "Fill out an Application" in which another window will open
This window is labeled "VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT, RELEASE, AND WAIVER" please read this document but you will not be able to fill in your name within the document (At the bottom of the page you will see a pull down menu – select "I agree" and click "OK" ).
A Volunteer profile will appear where all information that has a * next to boxes requires information that you must input.
When you get to the group information please answer Yes which will then open other boxes, Only fill out the Group Name with KOC Cotton Bowl – 10062 as no other information is required in that section.
You are now ready to SUBMIT APPLICATION – There will be a series of emails from Melissa Ascher that will acknowledge the application and request additional info.

To sign up for shifts you just need to email Stephanie @ sjarvis@azchampgame.org and let her know what shift(s) you would like.

If you have any issues with or just want help to sign up please call me @ 602-579-7500.

Thank you for your support,

Dave

Subject: Re: Drivers for National Championship??
Importance: High

Hi Dave,

We are operating a courtesy pool program for the team and the Special Guests.  Those guests will be able to request rides to various locations throughout the Valley.  We are requesting help at the Westin Kierland and we will have what I refer to as an "air-traffic control" person at the hotel.  We would stage up to 15-20 drivers per shift at the hotel and the air traffic control person will field the requests from the team and tell the drivers when and where they are picking someone up or dropping them off.  We have the cars on loan from a local dealer- we just need the drivers!!!  That is where I am hoping you guys can come in.    I would put you all at the Westin Kierland, which is the Cotton Bowl Alabama team hotel.  The shifts are as follow and your people can work as many as possible but there is no minimum required.  I can use all the help I can get though.  We will have snacks and beverages in the hotel meeting room and will order in food at lunch and dinner and there will likely be a TV in the room but we recommend that they bring reading material as well as I think there will be downtime in between pickups.

Here are the shifts we are looking to fill.

Friday, January 8 6PM-midnight
Saturday, January 9 7AM-noon
Saturday, January 9 Noon-6PM
Saturday, January 9 6PM-midnight
Sunday, January 10 7AM-noon
Sunday, January 10 Noon-6PM
Sunday, January 10 6PM-midnight
Monday, January 11 7AM-11:30AM
Monday, January 11 11:30AM-4PM
Monday, January 11 9PM-midnight

Let me know if you want to jump on a call to talk further.

Thank so much!

Stephanie

Brothers,

If you have any gift cards or other items you would like to donate for the Texas Hold'em Tournament later this month, please see me at the January meeting.

Again, all money raised goes to our seminarians so even if you don't play this is a good way to participate in a worthy cause!
