We have the honor of having one of the state officers attend our meeting tomorrow night. The preferred dress code is slacks and a Knights shirt but by all means this is not required as I would like to have as many brothers in attendance as possible.

Subject: [Corpus Christi 10062 Mail] PWID Weekend and donut Sunday @ Corpus Christi

This Saturday and Sunday we will be handing out Tootsie Rolls after each mass. This is a great activity for every Knight and Children to participate in as this need is a very short duration AND supports two great causes (Down Syndrome Network and Special Olympics).
We have also been chosen to hand out donuts after the 1st three Sunday masses. Again this is a very short duration activity 15 minutes after mass. I do need someone to pick up the check for the donuts on Thursday and then pick up the donuts on Sunday morning. If a couple of Knights could come a 6:30 Sunday morning to help set up I could use the help.
For brothers unsure if you can commit to a specific mass just come out after communion and lend a helping hand.
This is a great time to get children/youth involved.
Saturday 10/3
Three Knights are needed 4PM mass
 Sunday 10/4
7 Knights would be ideal to support the 7AM mass
7 Knights would be ideal to support the 8:30AM mass
7 Knights would be ideal to support the 10:30AM mass
Three Knights are needed 5PM mass

PWID Volunteers needed

Subject: [Corpus Christi 10062 Mail] Fwd: PWID Volunteers needed

Please respond to Steve...

Brother Knights,
Look at this happy guy and come join the fun!
We are needing volunteers for the PWID "Tootsie Roll Drive" Friday and Saturday, September 25th and 26th.   Proceeds support Special Olympics and Down Syndrome Network.
Twelve years ago, we received the news upon birth that our son Casey (pictured above) was born with Down Syndrome.  It was an incredibly frightening experience as we had no idea what the future would hold or even how to properly care for him.  At the hospital we got connected with DS Network, and our fears were quickly alleviated.  From helping to navigate the health resources provided by the state to binding with the DS community to see how such children can thrive, DS Network helped our family immensely, and we are forever grateful.  Special Olympics needs no introduction.
We are seeking volunteers to man 2 hour shifts at one of three locations (JC Penney, Frys – Chandler/40th, Frys – Ranch Circle).   Volunteers need merely to stand outside the stores wearing bibs that promote the Knights Drive for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, collect money and give away Tootsie Rolls.  It couldn't be easier, but specific instructions will be provided upon signup.  If you can, please bring a child with you to help (mine love it!) - you will easily double the contributions and it's a great teaching opportunity on the importance of serving others.  This is an easy opportunity for teenagers to get involved for service hours, and volunteers need not be Knights.
Open slots are as follows – Please reply to to sign up and please indicate which slot you are requesting
Friday, September 25th:
1 pm to 3 pm – 2 volunteers needed
3 pm to 5 pm – 1 volunteer needed

11 am to 1 pm – 2 volunteers needed

Thank you in advance for your assistance,

Worthy District Deputies and Worthy Grand Knights,  (See Attachment)
Please see the forwarded email below from Lisa Blevins, Tempe Campaign Director for 40 Days for Life.
I am asking that you share this email with all the members in your Councils, and encourage them to be out on the sidewalk in Tempe for the Knight Shift during the 40 Days for Life Campaign.
We have greater strength in numbers, so let's all work together to make this happen.
There are spots still open, and for the spots that are showing "filled" more can come.  We welcome all brother Knights and family members to spend time during this all night evening of prayer, asking for an end to abortion.
If you have questions, please email me at ----->

Dear Prayer Warriors,

We are teaming up with the Arizona Knights of Columbus for our 4th Knight Shift in Tempe.  This will be our Fall Tempe 40DFL mid-point rally with Bishop Olmsted, Bishop of Phoenix and Larry Becker, State Deputy KofC.

Prayers and witness are needed throughout the night:

Friday, Oct. 16th - Saturday, Oct. 17th 7:00pm to 7:00am
to sign up:

If the time you plan to pray is filled, you may still join others in prayer at that time (there is no limit to the amount of prayer warriors out there).  Please do try to fill any open hours first, thank you.

Peace be with you,
